Set alarm clock for once only. Not 6 days from now?

New to this phone. I'm having a problem setting the alarm for 1 day ahead.

If I set the alarm for Monday it goes off.
Now it's Monday night and I want to set that SAME alarm for Tuesday.
But it automatically set set for the NEXT Monday. 6 days a way.

I just want to set an alarm once. But I want to use MY alarm setting.
If I create a new alarm it default to a lower volume and different sound.
The default sound setting is not loud enough for me ""song" it plays not good at all for waking me up.

If this can not be done.
What is a good Alarm App that doesn't kill my battery?
Or use a lot of data while showing me ads all the time?

Once you are looking at the screen that shows your alarm, touch the alarm that you have set. This screen will offer the option to change the alarm time, as well as the days of the week you wish the alarm to go off. Touch the day of the week you want the alarm to work (in your case, Tuesday), when you do that the day of the week you select will turn green and tell you how far in the future the alarm will sound (hopefully in hours, instead of days away). Touch save at the top right corner of the screen and you should be good to go. I hope this helps.

I can't get the alarm to set for any day but 'today'. When I touch the alarm time I set the only option I have is to trash the alarm or keep it. I do not get an option to pick the day of the week. I got this phone 2 days ago and I'm not happy at not being able to set alarms for days other than the current day. It worked beautifully on the Note 3. What's going on?

I just got a new Note 4 (Verizon Wireless) today, with Lollipop 5.0.1, and I see the same problem. On my previous phone, a Galaxy S4, the Clock app worked as spotnjack described for setting alarms. But on the Note 4 there is no option to set anything other than the time for an alarm unless you make it a repeating alarm, in which case you get a chance to set the days. So my workaround for this is to create a repeating alarm any time I want to set the alarm for more than 24 hours in the future, but then I have to remember to turn it off after it goes off if I really don't want it to repeat the next week. So if anyone finds a solution for this, I would love to hear it.
