set cpu and htc kernel #11

Is it just me or does set CPU not play so nice with HTC's kernel. I tried underclocking but it won't stay this way after a reboot... I've also noticed after going a day without using set CPU, battery life has greatly improved. Has anyone else noticed or is it just a coincidence?

You can't really use SetPCU with the stock kernel. Gotta use a custom kernel for play around with SetPCU

Set CPU works just fine with stock kernel but you need to disable perflock. Assuming you have the newest version of setcpu, you also need to disable perflock on boot. Also you need to apply settings on boot.

If you disable perflock, and set it to disable on boot, and have your settings apply on boot, it works fine.

Even with Perflock disabled, I had a hard time getting it to work. I recommend using a non-stock Kernel.
