Set default bluetooth device?

I love my new phone, but I have one little issue with it and I'm hoping there's a solution.

In the car, when I turn on bluetooth, it finds my radio no problem and connects, but the scanning screen stays up until I hit "Cancel" or the Home button.

Is there anyway to make it just connect and disappear without interaction?
