When i turned it on it told me to tap the back, but Smart switch takes forever too my son's s7 took a couple of hours on smart switch

Have you tried with the cable? This will be my first time trying it this way, is all I ask. Thanks.

The cable for the s7 switching from a note 3 for my son. Using samsung smart switch took over two hours and it tells you to have a full battery charge on both phones when you start.

For the most part just transferring photos and any downloaded files I have. The rest the Google account will take care of. Hope that will be quicker. Thanks for the info.

It took me about an hour using smart switch, it was very convenient and helped me pick up where I left off...i didn't even have to re-sign into many apps with my login info, it was already done for me! I highly recommend it

It took about 90mins using Smart Switch. Thats with 220 apps. Total about 9GB to transfer. Over 10,000 text messages.

Wow, I dread the day I have to transfer my daughter's phone text messages.

Fully charged the phone, went thru initial setup of Google account, WiFi, etc, used smart switch for all apps and text messages (about 20,000). I think it was around 5gb total transfer. I was up and running after 2 hours or so.
