Set WiFi Connection Threshold?

Is there a way to set the minimum signal that WiFi will connect at? I'm tired of having a really weak WiFi signal at certain parts of my office where the WiFi really doesn't work, but my phone doesn't disconnect until the signal is completely gone. I'd prefer it just drops WiFi and uses 3G instead in these weak areas.

My phone is rooted if that helps.

Me too. It's really annoying when WiFi is weak. Keep having to manually turn it off.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is not a way to set a threshold. And unfortunately, there is usually a data stoppage when it switches from wifi to network data and back again.

Annoying as it is, If I'm updating something, I usually stay where I am at until it finishes.

There should be apps similar to a download manager, that manage this, but I prefer not to use an app that requires additional resources.
