Are there any recommended SetCPU settings?

My Optimus V is set at:

MAX: 768000
MIN: 245760

If I go above 768000 for the MAX with scaling OnDemand, the phone crashes sometimes and reboots itself. So I think setting yours to match mine will be the best bet for you.

And I have a profile set for when the screen turns off the CPU goes to:

MAX: 245760
MIN: 122880

It really saves your battery when you use the screen off profile.

Set it as high as you want then run a stress test for about 10 or 15 minutes and if there are no problems then your good and if there are problems then dial it down and try again.

If you read the thread mmarz has about battery performance you will see he suggests NOT going below 400 for the min. You dont gain any battery in fact you actually lose battery.

whole lots of wrong in this post.

each phone overclocks differently, so 768 is your max. doesn't mean everyone else will only get to 768.

underclocking your phone will actually use more battery

i don't have a screen off profile, i just have it set to 787/787 performance mode. underclocking has no effect in idle mode

Sorry if this is a dumb questions but how do you run a stress test and what program do you use

I use an app called "Stability test" works well for me
