Is there a way to set a default homescreen, so that when I turn my device on (mine is a Nexus 7) it will come up to my main screen, not one that has no icons?

TIA

Why not just move all your shortcuts and widgets to another home screen? You have multiple right? You can scroll left and right?

you can't on the stock launcher. Your two choices are to move your home screen icons to the actual home screen, or get a launcher replacement which lets you choose.

Thank you for your prompt replies. I have 3 screens (I know there are more) but my tablet doesn't open to the same screen, one time it's the one where I have the apps I use the most, other times it opens to the one screen that has no icons. It is not consistent. I would be happy to move the icons, but I see no way to make it open to that screen consistently either. What I did was add additional apps to the page that had all the stock apps on it. It would seem that would be the default screen, but it only opens to that page occasionally and randomly. Yes, I know I can swipe, but having a default homescreen would seem to be a better idea.

The "main" homescreen on the stock launcher is the center one. But the tablet will always remember what screen you were on last except after a full reboot. you can also just tap the home button to take you to the "main" home screen.

Thank you all. I did move all the icons and widgets to another screen which seems to have made a big difference. :-)
