Setting a primary Gmail account in Contacts

[AC Question]

I am having to reset all of my contacts due to a phone error. I want to link all of them to my personal gmail but within Contact Type it only lists my work gmail. I have both synced on the phone so not sure how to set the primary.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Accounts-Google. Do you see your personal Google account? If so, tap it, then make sure Contacts is checked on.

I went to Settings > Accounts & Sync > Google and it shows both accounts. My personal account is on the top with my work account on the bottom. I don't see a way to make my personal account the primary. Within Contacts under Contact Type it shows only my work email and not the personal.

My phone is not giving the option to check a box for Contacts.

As a side note, my phone shows the personal email is synced but that my work email had trouble syncing.
