Setting alarm ringtone?

I am getting ready to use my Nexus 5X alarm for the first time and was wanting a different ringtone than the phone uses. I can't seem to find how to change just the alarm ringtone. Help please.

If you are using the Google Clock app, you tap the menu icon on the upper-right of your screen and go to settings. Selecting a ringtone is near the bottom.

I just use Google Calendar and you set the ringtone the same as above.

You set the ringtone within the Clock app itself. The default for the preset alarms is your current ringtone, BUT it's pretty easy to change just click on down arrow to show the whole alarm settings, then click on the current alarm tone for the list to change it. IF and when you set any new alarms you will be prompted to pick your own sound. Sunrise is a favorite of mine.
