Hi. Strange one, buy my phone seems to be setting off store alarms when I leave.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a faulty radio?
Is it the shops fault, have they changed their alarms?
Definitely the phone too as my wife tested it separately to me.

Rocking an original OP3.

Well, that's interesting. Is it only certain shops? Only when you're talking on the phone or having data transfer?

Not that the store would be happy with you testing this a lot, but maybe see if turning off NFC would make a difference? The security tags are basically large passive nfc chips that respond to the signal in the security panels by the door. Maybe your phones nfc is responding in a similar fashion triggering the alarm.

I've seen this a LOT back in the days of Nextel when I worked at Circuit City. Any call or text would make the door alarms, as well as the register pads that de-activate the tags go completely nuts. Once Nextel folded, I haven't seen/heard of this issue.

Most shops here in the UK. only recently started happening.

NFC not on.
