Setting up question

Just got my 5a and I'm copying all my data from my 3a xl. The phone is pretty warm which has surprised me. When I went to shoot a quick pic I got the message "that the flash has been disabled" because of this......anybody else feel the phone was running to hot setting up?

I'm also charging it at the same time.

When I did my setup my phone got slightly warm, nothing to worry about, IMO. Not as warm as it gets following an extended charge time.

Curious as to why you had your flash enabled? I had a Pixel 2XL for almost 4 years and used the flash maybe a half dozen times, all within the first month of ownership, then never again. The camera doesn't really need the flash.

I hit the flash by mistake and then saw the message. This is my 3rd Pixel and yes it's rare when I ever use the flash ad well. Seems to be ok now.

Just to be clear -- you were restoring data from a Google Drive backup while charging? (I'm assuming you weren't connecting the two phones via USB since otherwise you couldn't charge at the same time.)

Yes, and I do understand that when hardware works harder it tends to get warmer. However I feel that this was warmer then it should have been and this is my 3rd Pixel phone. I googled the issue and others have had similar concerns and it appears to be a software issue. Overall I'm happy with the phone and got almost 3 hours of SOT and I'm still at 63%. I like the phone alot and I don't want to return it but it is something to keep an eye on.
