I have a strange problem. When I switch to tabbed view in settings, settings immediately crashes. Even after a reboot, upon opening settings it immediately crashes. I've worked around the problem, but at first I couldn't even go back to settings to change it out of tabbed view as it would crash before I could do anything.
The only way I was able to work around this was to download another app that would navigate me into one of the specific sections of settings which then let me change back to list view. In this case I downloaded "hidden settings" and that allowed me to change back to list view.
This is repeatable. If I go into settings and change to tabbed view it will again crash instantly and again every time I try to open settings.
For now my solution is to simply not use tabbed view. No big deal. Still, I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on what may be going on or how to really fix it?
One more thing... booting into safe mode didn't solve anything. Settings would still crash.
