Android Central Question

It's fairly common that I will open up my phone and find that some setting has changed. Quite often, it will take going through 2 or 3 screens to get to that setting, so a single random push could not have caused it. For example, a different on-screen keyboard will show up. Or the phone has been put in Airplane mode. Or wifi is turned off. Or the icon for an app has disappeared from the home screen. The latest today is turning on the feature that makes a little clicking noise for each keyboard touch. And the shutter sound for the camera turns on and off in random ways. I have turned on the random touch prevention feature. I also note that, even though I always put the phone to sleep in the same way, sometimes I pull it out of my pocket and have to run the unlock pattern and sometimes it opens straight to the home screen without doing that. Seems crazy.

Welcome to Android Central! Remember, there are shortcuts for various functions, so it's possible you're triggering them. It might be something in the Quick Settings swipedown panel, or perhaps a certain button press.
