Severe bug in the G5 EXIF data

All the pictures I take with my G5 are upside down when I upload them to my Drupal site (Review of LG G5 phone | Jim Rome's Interactive Site). Even if I rotate them 180 degrees and save them using my Mac's Preview, the images are still upside down when uploaded.
However, if I load the image in Adobe Lightroom, and edit its name in the EXIF data, and then save it, that image is displayed right-side up!
Alas, the image file is too large to upload here. It does this for all my images. The images on the same SD card that were created on the G4 do not exhibit this problem.

I haven't noticed this issue when uploading some images to Google Photo. In not sure what Drupal is, haven't heard of it till now.

Well, turning the camera upside down so that the volume control is on top fixes this. But since all the icons flip upside down (so they are upright), one would think that the camera orientation does not matter. I still think this is a bug.
