Man, this phone is sexy without a case, too bad I'm so paranoid to leave it off.

This has to be the greatest looking phone I've ever owned. I feel zero buyers remorse with this device and I'm totally content with it even after an entire month. I'll definitely be fine with it for 2 years. Even more so when we get s-off.

Pointless thread, but I just wanted to say it because when I took my otterbox defender off to wipe the lint off, I was taken aback by the pure sex appeal of this phone lol.

Excuse me while I fap some more.

This needed to be said haha. It even feels sexy with its super smooth glass and slightly rubberized battery cover.

Soon I'll be getting the extended battery case from HTCPedia that leaves some of the back exposed, though. I would hate to scratch the nice chrome bezel.

I like the way it looks with out any thing on it also but I can't stand the creaking sound the back makes when I am holding it. It does it with the back cover it came with and the extended battery cover. It does it on my friends Rezound also.

I don't hear any cracking on mine. Even when I had the extended battery cover it didn't.

This phone will be kept and used as my main mp3 player.. even after 2 years.. I will probably upgrade 2012 but ill still keep my rezound as a mp3 player

There is no sound at all from the back of my Rezound, even if I press on it. So far it is solid all the way around.

Wish mine didn't. My first one did it but not as bad as this one. I had to return the first one because of a over heating problem. I called my friend and ask him if his made a creaking or popping sound. So he took off his outer cover and said when he holds it by the sides his made the creaking or popping sound also. On mine there is a small gap between the front and the back so there is going to be some movement. Not sure how to stop that. With the outer cover on it does not do it or it does and just don't hear it.

Mine creaked a bit, but oddly, it happens when I use the keyboard in landscape w/ haptic on, hitting keys in rapid succession. Nothing bad but it's odd cuz it's inconsistent and no other Htc phone I've used makes a noise like this one does.

It almost sounds like your battery cover isn't snapped on all the way. I could be wrong but I don't think you should have any gap.

Regarding the creaking issue, I had the same problem with the extended battery cover after removing it a few times. At first if tried putting a few layers of electrical tape on the back of the battery to increase the pressure on the cover, but the creaking came back within a day. Then I decided to just put a small piece of electrical tape over every clip in the cover so it would fit tighter and not be able to make noise. Now there is absolutely no creaking :D

Hey thanks for the tip. I will give it a try.

After I read your post I thought I better check it again. I took off the back cover and put it back on just to make sure and there is still the small gap and the creaking. I tried both the cover that came with it and the extended cover and both are the same. It creaks when I am holding the phone along the edges to hold on to the phone about half way down.

Is one of snap in clips broken in that area?
