Okay so, the back speaker on my s5 seems to be really really quiet (even on full volume it stays the same) so always having to use headphones or keep one eye on my phone which is really annoying. Once every now and then it will be fine and be as loud as my partners s5, but 99% of the time really quiet(Have to put my eat next to the speaker its self to hear it)All my settings for volume are all the way up and the speaker it's self sounds clear and not blown.

Anyone know what this could be? Dodgy wires connecting the speaker or maybe something in the software? I don't wanna put it in for repair when I know the speaker works, it's just very very quiet And like I said once in a blue moon it will be fine for 5 mins then go quiet again. Very frustrating.

Did water get to it? I don't think it would matter if it did though because the s5 is water resistant. Never heard of this one...

Hello thanks for your reply. No water has never got to it. Even though it's water resistant I don't like the idea of it being near water lol. Maybe it could be a loose connection to the speaker?

I just dealt with this same issue yesterday. I went into settings / sound and notifications and moved all of the sound sliders up and down. Sometimes all you need to do is "touch" a setting to get it to work right. Voila the sound was back at proper volume. FYI. Using the volume rocker outside of the settings screen did not fix it for me.
