Whenever I add new music to my phone (.mp3) it says it's "not supported*. I use an app to move all .mp3s from downloads to a music folder. The only way I can fix this issue is by erasing data in media storage, restarting phone, and recreating all my playlists. This is a major pain in the arse because I have to do this every time I add new music and it takes about 10-15 minutes of my time.

I am using a rooted SGH-1337M on stock lollipop 5.0.1.

Try just putting the music on the phone and then doing a reboot after the music is added.

Found the cause.
I have an app that automatically redirects mp3s from phone to SD card. Wherever it redirects the issue occurs. Will try manually moving music every once in a while instead and see if the issue still occurs.
