Good Day All:
First post, but been on the site for almost a year as I made the switch from jailbroken iphone 4 to Android (Razr Maxx, Samsung GS3 on VZW). Extremely helpful and the assistance is most appreciated.

Getting to my issue, I have a 32gb Sammy, NOT rooted and running at what should be optimal efficiency. I have a fair number of apps on it, but very few that are running in the background of intensive memory hogs. Although I have Widget Locker loaded, it is not enabled and I have NO launchers installed right now and am using Touch Wiz stock.

In the last week or so, my Touch Wiz home screen will refresh on wake up or coming back home out of an application to a home screen that does not fully display the dock icons, weather widget or others. The screen is frozen and even the home button won't do anything. After some time it will tell me Touch Wiz is not responding or working properly and I can wait or hit okay. After waiting a few, it does resolve itself. I have rebooted, even removed the last app installed, My Backup Pro, but it still happens.

What is going on, why and how can I fix it???

Any thoughts and input would be great and thanks in advance. :'(

I could be totally but I would exchange it for a new one. I am on AT&T and have mine since June 21st with no issues. The behavior that you are describing does not sound normal. Try a factory reset and even call VZW CS.

well I have a S3 on sprint and I'm having the same issue. I'm now on my third phone from sprint. Me and the tech found out what the issue is...it comes from the weather app on your main home screen. If you got to settings then applications and scroll down to the weather app and disable it should get rid of the error. He also told me that there should be a fix for it soon but that is coming from sprint, but after reading this it might be a Samsung fix as it seems to be happening across the broad.

I'm having the same problem. Not sure it's the Weather app, as I don't even use it or have it on my homescreen. My Crackle app has been crashing lately so I uninstalled that and will see if that helps.

Have you made any changes in the Developer Options settings? I've read that changing "Limit Background processes" can really affect the performance if not correctly set.

No, I haven't changed that setting, it still shows as "Standard Limit". The only Developer Setting I changed was to turn off the Window Animation Scale and the Transition Animation Scale. Could that affect it? If so, I would think it would help not hurt.

I agree touchwizzed are out on mine too. I have a samsung galaxy 3. This is ridiculous. Better galaxy customerof various devices, and this is the first time it's happened for this long. I've done nothing out of the ordinary, so what can I do to resolve the issue?
