SGS 3 shuts down sporadically

I recently gave my SGS 3 to someone, and now it shuts down during the day at random times. I thought at first it was due to overheating due to the case, but I left it out of its case overnight and it still shut down. Does anyone know of an app that will tell you why a phone turned itself off?

Its probably a app causing the issue.
