Shame on ATT.

You can still get unlimited data on VZW if you search the boards you will find out how. I haven't heard of VZW throttling.

I had that text a few days before the throttling started. It will come!

Yeah, I know! Fortunately I didn't get this until 4 days left in my cycle. I'm just gonna burn it up the last couple of days. I know I'm only one person and my traffic will go unnoticed on the network but I'm so full of ssip and vinegar right now I'm gonna do what I can.

I read on another site earlier today about AT&T ads that were claiming most (98%) of people use less than 200 mb a month. It appears that AT&T is throttling at 3.5-4.0 GB (for me any ways)...and I'm supposed to be the top 5%? It seems to me that there are only 2% using >200mb a month. Why doesn't throttling start <200 mb?

Debra Jordan (AT&T CnSR) told me this is a "program" they just started in October. My data usage has been 3+GB for Nov, Dec and now Jan (with Nov higher than Jan) and I'm just now getting the notice. Apparently consistency isn't their thing either!

I could rant for days but I guess I'll just bend over and take the high hard one along side of every other AT&T data user!?!?

I've managed to gobble up almost 2gb of data (at 0.12 mb/s) over the past 24 hours. Music from the cloud while I sleep and slingbox while I nap and tunein on mute while way watching the xgames. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do this every month just because I can.

If you are on At&T, T mobile and Verizon and have unlimited data when you approach the highest tier in this case 5gb your speed will be throttled down. They have all said they were going to do this and a few were doing it before they got rid of the unlimited plans.

Sprint is getting ready to drop ul data and is slowing down data speed as well

I was reading an article this morning that made a very valid point.

As we, with the unlimited plan, try to watch our data usage, the top 5% will go down from ~2gb to <2gb.

Let's see if we can't make this backfire

I contend we go the other direction. Watch your data usage for the first part of your cycle. In the last 3-4 days...f'ing run it up son!!!

After I was throttled last month I was able to gobble up another 1.5-2gb of data in the last 2 days of my cycle. I muted the phone and streamed pandora and tunein radio at the same time for about 12-18 hours straight.

UNLIMITEDS UNITE!!!!

I think I have been throttled, and I never even got a warning. WTF? I pay to have a certain phone and certain data usage, I should get that. I went from download speed of 4.6 mbps to a download speed of .14 mbps. That's some unacceptable BS! What's the point of having a phone with speedy capabilities if I'm only allowed to do things at a glacial pace?

Not. Happy. At. All.

a simple phone call to tech support will lift the throttle.

you tell them that you data speed are really low for LTE compared to what you were getting a few days ago, they will look into it and tell you about your usage and that you are being throttled.

thats when you tell them that you are on the unlimited plan and should not be throttled at all sine you have been a customer for so long to still have unlimited.

ask for their supervisor, threaten to switch to verizon for att's poor customer service.

you will never be throttled again and could possibly get a credit for 1 months worth of data charges.

Ugh I got the throttle text last night. To be fair I was tethering and streaming like mad this month. And I didn't get the message until 5g which is what their website says. They seem to be consistent with their policy to me. I still think it f-****get skeezy though. It's not as if att needs to worry about their income
