Why after all of these updates is there still no option to share via google talk? For example when your in the browser and you click options>share page, it gives you the option to share the link via email, gmail, messaging, even picasa for pics but there is never any option for google's own talk? WTF? I still haven't seen any evidence of this coming to Froyo either and it bugs the crap out of me to click one just to copy the link, delete the message then paste the link in talk. Sorry for the rant. This is the only complaint I have ever had about android to date.

I want group chat in google talk.....

I hadn't even noticed that issue but it ties into a bigger picture, which is lack of native GoogleTalk functionality.

So let's see... just from the three of us so far, there are three shortcomings which all happen to be pretty major when considering user impact:

1. Lack of sharing functionality for GoogleTalk from within other core apps
2. Lack of group chat
3. Cannot use more than one account or even sign into any other account other than the one that is tied up with the phone's primary gmail account.

Isn't there a way to submit requests to Google's android development team? I remember seeing somewhere you can do that. We need to get them working on this.

Also strange about Google Talk is it doesn't show "This person is typing..."

Desktop versions of Google Talk, as well as Gmail and the BlackBerry Google Talk client, have this. Seems strange that Android wouldn't.

Any word on this? I'd much prefer using Google Talk for sharing...

I would guess the service providers don't want any of Talk interfering with their text message revenue.

Or Google isn't investing in Talk right now.
