In the camera settings, turn off "Picture Stabilization." It should only be used in low light situations.
Can you get very good lower light photos using Picture Stabilization and a Tripod or way to hold phone very still and use timer or voice to trigger shutter.
Reviewers all say S5 and,Alpha bad for low light but wonder if they ever set phone down instead of trying to hold it still for 4 seconds ?

Thinking of getting,Alpha, same software, probably same sensor dumbed down to 12 mpx.

Is the W 8 model from Canada Bell ?
May get the Alpha 850 W8 from Canada GSM Unlocked, but after this thread tempted to get S5 even though too large ...but like the Caneea/Pics I see here...Alpha only 12 mp.

Anyone follow the space program? The orion is launching tomorrow. And this bright green laser shining into the sky at the visitor center means the launch is go.

Impressive for a Camera that is supposed to be bad in low light.

I sometimes need to take Interior Snapshots for my work, and wonder if I get an Alpha if I can get this type result,

OR get a good high quality,Panasonic Compact Camera, and upload photos via USB-OTG and send thru Desktop,Gmail....

S6 might be two categories up from this-which will negate need for low to medium quality Cameras...

Has any have any problems with trying to take close up shots, close to macro. I tried and tried, but only was able to get a non blurred photo 1 out of 929292 times. Seriously though, I cant get it to focus even though thr circle turns green. Then there is the auto focus problem.

I seem to be having the same issue. My S3 was far superior focus on items very close. I have yet to get this phone to focus correctly on anything closer than 8-10".

To be honest, so far after 10 days, I'm not very impressed with the camera.

Attached is a photo I am happy with and the HDR setting is enabled. Processed minimally in Snapseed.

I have some photos taken with Galaxy S5 a while ago when I had it on test. I have Lumia 820 and I thought the camera was amazing on it(S5). So here it goes :)
