My apologies, folks. I found some info on a Galaxy S4 forum, but not for the 5, and I've been painstakingly going through this forum page by page in search of an answer.
The GS3 had tons of great effects: duotone, watercolor, sepia, posterize, b&w, etc to add to photos.
The GS5 does not come with that, and when I go to Mode and see effects, it shows no effects and in essence it's greyed out! It won't let me click it and activate it at all.
Is there a way, short of rooting it, to activate it (those effects)? Otherwise, is there a good 3rd party app to add to do this easily? The Samsung Galaxy Apps hub doesn't even seem to have this, and you would think they would!

I've noticed a definite improvement in the camera since the Lollipop upgrade. Our windows face west, and we get about 350 gorgeous sunsets a year. I've taken a lot of sunset pictures since we've been here, but never have I been able to get such good detail in the foreground. While it was only by accident that I got the lighted windows next door, I think they provide a fine compositional balance to the last minutes higher up in the frame.
This was taken on a point and shoot basis, without making any adjustments beforehand.

Nice pictures guys.... One thing I would like is to change how your pictures are saved.
Is there anyway to have them saved such as 201hshsjndnsj_01
Then the next one would be '_02'
Because when you go to put them in a cloud or try to move them to another device it isn't in order by date which is annoying.
