I've started using the Action Launcher. Quite please with it as I feel it brings a few bits & pieces over from Windows Phone which I like when I tried it briefly.

Although it does seem to crash a fair bit, once when I'd finally got it set up how I wanted it.

Question though. I currently have a single homescreen, with the app list swipe to the left and quick swipe to the right. I know I can add another homescreen, but can I make this a full Google Now screen, as per the standard launcher?

I'll post a screenshot once I've finalised everything.

You have to use GEL to have a dedicated Google now screen.

Ah ok, hold & up method it is then. Shame to lose the 'Ok Google " functionality, but never mind.

Overall I'm very impressed with the Action Launcher. Still very buggy, but hopefully that's mainly because of its relative infancy.
