I love the camera but the lack of Google Mobile Services is a pain and work-arounds I found are not working because, I'm assuming, Google is eagerly shutting the door on a competitor. I was using Vanced YouTube but when I clicked on the icon this afternoon it wouldn't load. And, photos copied to "my files-dowloads-camera" on my chromebook were automatically sent to Google Photos but no longer.

In Oaxaca, very few people have ever seen snow, much less snowmen. Or is it snowpersons, now?

In Oaxaca, gardeners make their own brooms for sweeping the sidewalks in the parks and for sweeping leaves off the grass, gravel, and dirt. I think there are two reasons they make their own brooms. One is tradition. The Zapotec and Mixtec are fairly traditional even if they speak Spanish and work in the city.

The second reason is the gardeners get to spend a couple of course in communal activity of selecting and trimming straws, then putting them onto the broom, and, of course, gossiping as they do all this.

Since I walk my dog before dawn, I've started a series of Bougainvillea and Barbed Wire. If you're interested, the barbed wire is like many other things we see today and is more for a perceived problem than reality.
