I like how it was able to cut out all the stuff in the background. Usually there would be a spot or two that are blurred along the edges.

Yeah, the edge detection on the bokeh in that one is near perfect.

This a steam power plant that was, in a straight line, 11 miles away. Just testing out the zoom.

Hey Morty, I hope all is well! My Dad passed last week after a very short bout with Bile Duct Cancer. It had metastasized to his liver, pancreas, stomach, and lungs. He made it two weeks after finding out. F-cancer.

I think she made the cupcakes as a form of therapy for herself. That stuff is hard on kids and she's a really good one :)

msm0511 - She said thank you :)
I feel you on that. My father in law is in his second battle with lung cancer. Thankfully the immunotherapy is working. Sorry for your loss.

That is a terrible thing to happen. I am thinking of you during this time. Baking is definitely a good way to work through one's grief. Sixteen is a rough time to lose a loved one. Hope you and your daughter are doing okay.

As someone who has also lost a father, I'm around if you ever need to talk. Shoot me a PM and I'll do my best to check more often than I do. Checking for messages isn't my strong suit!

Morty, I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm fortunate in that I have 3 brothers (no sisters) and we're really close. Best friends I could have...

This forum rocks BTW. :)

It's definitely the most friendly forum I belong to. I'm part of a GM truck forum and that place is full of a$$holes. The only reason I frequent it is I'm a master mechanic on workers comp and it gives me my daily dose of automotive repair. Gotta stay sharp.

I lost a very close friend and colleague last year to bile duct cancer. I didn't even know that was possible till it happened.

Out of camera jpegs. Pretty heavily processed but loads of detail and vibrant.

I'm sorry for your loss Mike. I didn't even know what bile duct cancer was. Unfortunately by the time you realize you have it, it has more than likely spread. They told my father there is no cure at that point, it's comfort not cure treatment. I can tell you that he was extremely uncomfortable for the two weeks he had left.

I told my wife if I'm ever given that diagnosis the party would begin then and there. It would not stop until I do...

Ironically I had stones in my bile duct removed last year that came from my gall bladder which I also had removed

That sounds like fun... I hope you're feeling much better!
I've been a mess since then.....actually had planned a knee replacement last year but the gall bladder and a hip replacement got in the way....just had the knee done a week and a half ago....lol

Get out and moving, best thing you can do from a health standpoint. Feel better!
