Here's my setup, a little messy but I like it. All the apps on the first page are folders and all the apps present on the homescreen aren't present in the app drawer. It helps with remembering how to access the apps.

The notes app I'm using here is Google Keep. Imo it is way better than the built in notepad and syncs across all my devices.
