ShareActionProvider vs implicit intent

Is there any particular reason not to use custom action with implicit ACTION_SEND intent, instead of ShareActionProvider?

I'm just curious.

I'm sorry if my question doesn't make any sense, I'm new in android development, and currently in the process of learning.
