Sharing Photos

New Android users (I'm still on a Pre, getting Evo next month). Partner has had DroidX for a few weeks. We've been unable to share photos.

According to the help files, we should be able to touch the photo and get a share button. When we touch the photo all we get is the info, HDMI and something that has a small square with an arrow in it (but does nothing).

Can someone point us in the correct direction?

Thanks,

Seabrz

Press and hold the photo before expanding it to full size in the gallery and it will bring up the menu as well.

Thanks for the responses but they don't work either. According to the help files, I should be able to bring up various choices, but none show up. Does not matter if I access the photos in the camera or the gallery.

when you are in the photo and you press the menu key, what do you see, or when you press the share option what do you see?

Seabrz, what you are refering to only works if you take a photo. Then while the photo is still on the screen (review time before it goes back to camera) you can tap on the photo and the menu will come up that will allow you to share.

For the Droid X and most other iterations of Android if you are in the photo (i.e. viewing it from the gallery) and you press the Menu button on the Droid X you will see a row of options pop up at the bottom. One of those options is "Share"

See here: Droid X Camera Toubleshooting

Here is the other way to do it without going through the Camera.

Go to the gallery on your Droid phone. You can do this by clicking the "Gallery" icon. This will take you to all the pictures you have already taken on your phone.

Navigate to the picture. Most likely, the picture will be stored in the folder labeled "Camera Pictures." Once you find the folder where your photo is stored, click the folder to open it.

Find the photo you want to upload to your Facebook photo album and select it by clicking it.

Press the Menu button. You can find this button located at the bottom of your Motorola Droid's keypad.

Once you have pressed the Menu button, you will see a pop-up menu appear. From the options, choose the "Share" option.

After choosing the "Share" option, another list of options will be revealed.

I hope this helps you! :)
