I have the unlocked Note 10+ that just installed Android 10 this morning. So far all is good except when I try to share a picture from inside the gallery app. Once I hit the share icon, the next screen appears for about a second and then I get a Android system keeps stopping message. I cleared the cache on the gallery app so far.

Anyone else have the same issue?

Try force closing , if still same then clear data cache and force stop.

Unfortunately, I tried that and still same issue. I also cleared the cache partition and same result. I'm able to go into the message app and attach a picture without it crashing, so at least I have a workaround for now.

So gallery crashes?

Hmm weird, just tried sharing from the gallery and worked fine without issues. I shared a image from the gallery and and selected the messages app in the share screen. Worked fine.

Did you check if there is any update pending for the gallery app on the Galaxy app store?

So some 3rd party app you installed isn't playing nice with the Android 10 update. Facebook and any of their associated apps would be a common culprit -- see what happens if you uninstall them.

Looks like it might be a bigger issue. I tried to share a picture using the my files application. Same issue with crashing, but if I try to share a non picture file, I'm able to share using any of the supported apps.

I have the same issue as well and cannot figure it out. If I'm in Chrome and click share thru menu, as soon as Al lthe share options pop up from bottom such as via email, sms, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram.. etc etc.. I get the ”android system keeps stopping" error.

Even if I try to share a pic via gallery app or even take a screenshot then attempt to immediately share.

This didn't occur before the Android 10 update I received yesterday.

I'm lost...

You try clearing cache in recovery?

Also before you think about factory reset , try in settings scroll to general and reset , reset settings or in apps >3 dots upper right corner tap>scroll down to reset app preference.

I think B. Diddy but the nail on the head. It seems like an app that isn't playing nice with the updated Gallery app. You'll have to go through and uninstall them one by one until the problem goes away.

Quick question. Are you saving photos to an SD card or internal memory? The have been reports (not many) of Android 10 corrupting SD cards.

I finally figured out the issue. I had an application called local cast installed and must cause an issue with sharing. After I removed it, the issue disappeared.

Good to know. Just so you know, with Samsung phones, you don't need a separate "casting" app. Samsung phones support both Miracast and Chromecast natively.
