Do you get "posessive" when a friend, family member, or coworker asks you to use your phone?

Personally I hate it, my kid is always misplacing his phone, and he has lost several phones in the past year.

I don't let anyone touch "My Precious"! :p Not taking a chance they drop it nor do I want their finger grease on it! Grrr...

That's funny, my girlfriend calls my phone my "precious" all the time. I share it but only very occasionally and only with certain people, but not because I dont care what happens to it, but because letting other people see how awesome my phone is compared to theirs is worth the risk of a smudge or two :P

EDIT: I just realized I sound like a snobby Fruit fanboy. I just puked a little.

I don't let most people touch it unless I know them well enough and know they are responsible with their stuff. Even still I get a very nervous feeling haha.

I used to freak out about people messing with my stuff, especially my phones. But having a 6 and a 2 year old, I have learned that letting my 2 year watch Netflix, draw or play games when she is reaching the breaking point at a restaurant, has let me become less anal about my things.

Privacy though is another thing. I still do not like people going through my phone.

I'd have a problem letting kids use a $600+ high-end electronics item. I?d rather get them their own cheaper device! :) Not to mention, I'd worry about them making changes to the device and possibly messing it up. But truthfully, for me if I had kids, I wouldn't pacify them in that way anyway (not judging your choice though :)).

That's a good point about privacy. I have a PIN lock on mine (after 15 minutes of inactivity). But, once it's unlocked, they could access anything I could. No thanks! It's moot for me anyway; I can't get past the finger grease! LOL (I'm so anal I ensure my own hands are clean before touching the phone! :-[)

I let my fiancee use it, but she's been put through said standards of usage via my iPad and Incredible. I fully trust her :).

Studies have shown that phones are one of the objects with the most germs on them. More germs on a phone than a public toilet seat. You should treat a phone as if it were a toothbrush and never, ever share them. Relay this message to anyone that wants to borrow your phone and they'll stop asking to use your phone. If they persist, just hold it in front of your face and cough on it, then hold it out for them. They'll refuse. Works every time.

I like the toothbrush analogy. Also kids = more germs! :p LOL (yah, I don't have kids, by choice! Not my bag man!)

The only people I let hold my phone are the ones I know have money and will replace it if they break it.

So basically my dad is the only other person that I let use my phone.

I let my wife and son use it from time to time. They both know my unlock pattern. I have no problem with it.

LOL good topic. I once had this super hot young girlfriend ( meaning crazy! ) My friend let her use his Incredible for a call..... She got manic with it and some how did a factory reset or whatever and lost all his settings. Dude said he had spent 8 hours setting up his phone LOL LOL... it was the most pissed I ever saw a person get over a phone... It was AWESOME! :p

I've let three people hold and mess around with my Gnex as they pleased. 1 person went out and bought a week later, another person is attempting to find a way out of his at&t contract to buy one, and the third person got a SGS2 for free so he was happy enough with that.
