I let people use it, but it makes me cringe. I've been this way with any phone not just my iPhone or my Nexus when I had it. For one, it has personal information on it, so I only let people use it to make a call and I do that supervised. People don't need to be going through my personal information. I'm an attorney and I have some emails in there relating to cases and clients, and it would be a breach of their confidentiality if I let people freely go through everything. If there's something on my phone that I want to show them, I'll do it myself.
I have a 9 year old stepdaughter, and she has an iPod and a Vizio tablet that she can use for fun, so she doesn't have to use mine or my wife's phones. She barely takes care of anything (iPod has two GIANT scratches on it), so I'd prefer not letting her toss around my $600+ cell phone, especially when I can't supervise. Plus you have to put a gun to her head to get her to wash her hands...
