Goodbye Beautiful Screen
So i'm showing some friends a funny picture on my beautiful 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen that resides on my DroidX. Next thing I know, one of my friends turns around quickly throwing his hands up hitting my arm in just the right spot the make it the perfect DroidX catapult. The device went flying in slow motion and all I could do was watch it as our good times together went flashing back through my mind. As the phone landed perfectly on its screen on a bubble that was protruding out of the concrete, I could do nothing but stand and stare at it. I had heard it hit so I knew that when I picked it up it wasn't going to be a pretty sight. I finally found the courage to reach down and grab my beloved technological soulmate to flip it over and notice what had happened to the gigantic screen that was once so perfect. The emotions I felt were what I imagine a Dementor would feel like as it swoops down and sucks all of the warmth and happiness out of your body (Oh yes, Harry Potter reference). To say the least, the rest of my night was not the same. Now a day later, I still have flashbacks to the incident and am brutally reminded of it every time a shard of glass penetrates my thumb as I attempt to unlock my wounded love.
But it's ok, this story has a happy ending...insurance!
