Shooting video quickly

Does anyone know if there's a way to pin the video camera control onto the home screen so you can immediately shoot video instead of having to launch the camera then hitting the video button?

Do you use the shake method to launch the camera? That's faster than any button would be, imo.

I do use the shake button but just wondered if there was a way to get a video icon on the home screen.

Speaking of the shake button, does anyone know if the Moto Z has the same feature? I really do love that feature and would hate to give it up in a future phone. I'm looking at the Z for when I finally move on from the X.
