Short 6P review from a phone addict

I'm a bit of a phone addict. I've had my Frost 6P 64gb about a week now and wanted to post my thoughts. It's naked with just a screen protector. Here's the phone's I've had over the past year so you can get an idea of what I'm comparing this to. iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S Plus, Galaxy s6, Galaxy s6 Edge, Note 5, Nexus 6, LG G4, Nexus 5x, Moto X pure, and Moto G.

The Good:

-I love the screen. Crisp, large, and nice colors.
-The build is great. I have the Frost version and it is beautiful to look at and hold.
-The fingerprint scanner is just as fast as the iPhone 6s Plus but I feel it's in a better location. The back worried me at first but I soon realized the back is more natural.
-The OS is awesome and this phone flies. I had some issues with every other phone on my list. The phone is as fast as my iphones and love the minimal clutter (samsung,LG)
-Speakers are great. Much better than any other phone on my list.

The not so good:

-The camera takes awesome pictures if you have time. Meaning you have a stationary subject. The time to focus and then the actual time from pressing the shutter to picture snapping leaves something to be desired. Also, double clicking the power button to launch is great but it is kind of an awkward gesture to master. The iPhones and Samsungs take faster pictures with less "misses" and the Samsungs have better image quality.
-The battery on my phone has been not so hot. I've been reading the forums and it seems like it might have something to do with 6.0.1. I get like 3 - 4 hours SOT max.
-The radio seems to be weaker than my iPhones. I notice my phone only connecting to HSPA much of the time when my iPhone never lost LTE connection where I sit at work
-I love big phones but this phone (along with my iphone pluses) are ever slightly too large. They don't fit in the cup holders in my car.

With that being said, it is still the best all around phone I've used in the past year. Despite the shortcomings listed above, this phone is the most complete all around package that Android offers right now in my opinion. The note 5 would be right up there if it wasn't for Touchwiz.

Looking forward to trying out some new phones this year! But for now the 6P is my go to daily driver.

Good review. Having had most of these devices myself, I agree with your assessment. My 6P does fit in my cup holder though. Maybe a small point, but an important one nonetheless!

pretty impressive this is your favorite device considering all the phones you've used recently.

I'd also list the button placement as a negative. I'm constantly adjusting the volume by accident and it often goes off at full volume shortly after I put it on vibrate. Hoping to solve the issue with the Rhino Shield bumper:

Which upcoming phone are you most looking forward to? I need to replace my work phone (S4) so hoping the S7, G5 or M10 have what I'm looking for (big battery and USB-C primarily).

S7 Edge and G5 are two I'm looking forward to. I'll be sad if the S7 doesn't use USB-C. Never been an HTC fan. I have never been a Samsung or TW fan either but after the S6/Edge and Note 5 I have to try out the new offering. The screen, build/design and camera are just too amazing to not try if you are a phone addict such as myself. If the S7 Edge can give me 4-5 hours SoT I may be willing to deal with TW on a full time basis to have that camera (if it's as good or better than the S6, which I imagine it would be).

what about the 6p is mid range? 810, premium build, USB-C, best fingerprint sensor on Android, great display, big battery, solid camera, front speakers, etc ... other than OIS it has everything you can want in a flagship phone, all for a reasonable price.

maybe I misunderstood though, your statement doesn't make much sense.
