Someone posted in another forum that a way to create an direct app icon to different camera modes (manual, cine video, etc) is to tap and hold the camera icon. After a few, icons for the different modes will appear in a list which can then be added to the home screen.

Each time I try this, it either just opens the camera or just brings up the remove/delete app interface.

Anyone else get this to work? If so, what am I missing?

This has been answered. Apparently this is one of those helpful features that Verizon decided to disable on the V30. Why? No idea. I may call them and ask though. My gut feeling is that they sell an app that does something similar to this.

Seems to work on my Verizon V30

Do you have a different launcher? I read that Action and possibly NOVA turn the feature back on.

I have NOVA & the stock camera app on the V30. The different modes show up fine and work great.

I just tried somethings using OK Google:

'Open camera' opens automatic mode.
'Open camera manual mode' opens the manual mode.

Yeah!

And I can use my Cheese Shutter word to make everything voice activated. That worked great for me the other day when I was riding my horse and was able to be safe & get a pix of a piebald deer.

I have no clue why this inserted upside down. <sigh>

I'm on T-Mobile using the stock / default launcher and I can press and hold and see the shortcuts.

Maybe it really is a carrier issue?

It most definitely is, especially since it works in different launchers on Verizon phones.
