Should HTC/Sprint give good will gesture?

Who, if anyone, should offer good will gesture for EVO debacle?

Well I bet your wish come's true but not by the suspects named above.. Looks like the stores will give the perks so congratulations.. Capitalism man you got to love it..

That's kind of a hollow victory, though. Sprint received 71%, Verizon had 70%, and both AT&T and T-Mobile had 69%.

Basically, it's saying that Sprint is the best (among national carriers), but only barely, and all national carriers are neck-in-neck.

Hi Glenn,

I appreciate you taking the time to review the research yourself!!

I'll agree that it's a neck-to-neck race, but I'll disagree about the hollow victory.

Sprint was in last place some 3-4 years ago (partly due to that failed Nextel "merger") and since then has done a great job of claiming st place, as well as staying in 1st place, albeit just by a nose... But that's all they need at the racetrack to call it a win!

David, I have to truly thank you for this comment tremendously.... I in no way meant to come off as though I was looking for monetary gain... I have been watching the posts and couldn't figure out why people kept talking about being owed something, entitlement and such... I need to apologize to everyone who understood my post in that way.

All well that ends well! On to the next spirited debate! :)

Personally, I haven't had any issues with Sprint's customer care. Possibly because I don't usually have any reason to call them. But the same was pretty much true when I was with AT&T and T-mobile in the years past.

I was going to comment on the fact that they climbed back from dead last (in the 50% range, IIRC) of a few years ago, which should be commended, but they also dropped by one percent from last year, and was only able to claim first place because Verizon dropped by 3%--so Sprint didn't win by "getting better," but rather due to Verizon dropping the ball.

That's why the victory seemed rather hollow to me.

Also, unlike in sports games or races, where the winner is determined only at a predetermined allotment (either when time runs out, or someone reaches the finish line first), "winning" (or losing) at customer service satisfaction is a fluid, continual process that's always occurring. There's no buzzer or finish line. Everyday the percentage of customers satisfied might change.

Winners and losers are relative by price and Sprint has a early lead now in pre paid 4G space here starting Thursday.. Sure the contract space will continue but Sprint should do well as ppl are not getting richer and richer anymore and need a cheap good 4G handset and service imo.. We will see if the others carriers adapt?? Less is more to many now.. Boost gets your Evo 4G hand me down..
