Should I be worried about the LED?

So I've had the Droid for about six months now. One of my favorite features is the front LED notification. However I've been worried about letting more programs use the LED notification function in fear that the LED will "burn out".


For example sometimes I'll wake in the morning and notice the LED blinking due to an email that came in over night. I worry that the LED will at some point come to the end of it's life.
Does anyone else feel this way or am I just worrying over nothing?

The LED will work long after the phone does, don't worry about it, LEDs last for a very long time.

Most have an average lifespan of 100,000 hours of use.
