Should I be worried?

Obviously one of the problems everyone notices on the N4 is the fragile back of the phone (from what I hear). But with a case such as this one (Amazon.com: Acase Superleggera Pro Hybrid dual layer Case for LG Google Nexus 4 (Nexus 4, Black): Cell Phones & Accessories) or any gel/hardcase one in general. Should I still be worried about breaking the phone? I mean I will still be cautious, but does anyone have any experience with it still breaking in that type of case?

My and my wife's N4s are two of the first ones shipped back in November, 2012. They have been in these cases Amazon.com: i-Blason Slim Fit S Line Flexible TPU Case for Google Nexus 4 Smart Phone E960 LG 8gb 16gb (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories since December and neither phone shows any sign of damage, cracks, scratches, whatever.

My phone lives in my front pocket or an whatever surface is nearby; my wife's goes into her purse, etc., etc.

Ah, that's comforting to know. I also already have a similar TPU case I planned on using if I was at home or indoors mainly..

Anyone know how this Acase stacks up against the Ballistic. They look very similar.

I was asking the same question. I know for sure there is a price difference ($35 for ballistic vs. $17 for the Acase) But besides that I am unaware, plenty reviews of the Acase say it is more streamline...

The N4 is such a nice looking phone. I've always thought it's a shame for people to cover it up with silicone cases.

I'd recommend using the following setup:
Official bumper case (or equivalent)
dbrand skin

From the dbrand thread on the N4 XDA forums, this is the setup that a lot of folks use and stand by, including myself.
