Should I buy a new Droid Turbo?

Why do you say you can actually make calls?

Well, I guess my Turbo can make calls better than it hangs onto them. Advanced Calling is not nearly as ready for prime time as Verizon wants you to believe. If you turn it off, you no longer get simultaneous voice and data.

I admit I don't frequent many other forums, but it doesn't seem like other phones with Advanced Calling (like the GS5 and GS6) have near the problems with it that the Turbo does. But I could be wrong about that.

So advanced calling drops calls?

If you are traveling while calling and move away from lte coverage - yes, it drops the call, by design at this point. Calls cannot be handed off to cdma or even wifi yet.

If you have spotty lte coverage, calls can drop, too.
