Should I Buy The OnePlus One?

I've seen a few on Amazon being sold as new.
I thought you had to have an invite to buy these phones?
I really do want this phone but afraid of being ripped off...

I've been using my OPO for a week now. Got it during the two hour sale a couple weeks ago. So far really enjoying it. Everything is running just fine and process through the apps very smooth. I'm especially enjoying CM on it with the old People, Gallery, and Messaging apps! I do not use or like the Hangouts and Photos. Not overly impressed with the camera, spoiled by the camera on my Lumia 1520, but did not buy this OPO for the camera. Bought for the rest of the specs with 64gb and CM stock and all shipped to my house for $363!

Do you think the One can be considered old, now? I would like to buy one, but I don't have an invite.
Another question: Can I install Messenger (the Google SMS app)? How many hampers is the battery, and how long does it last with a normal usage? Unfortunately my Nexus 5 hasn't a long battery life. Thank you for your comments and advices.

Had a Oneplus One her in UK, sadly not 4G compatible, sold it after one week. Got a better phone, LG G3.

What do you mean by products? All the Google services as in Gmail, play store, chrome etc work fine for me

Yes it does. Tbh, the opo is my first experience with Cyanogen and I think it's very nice. The phone is still running kitkat just with a very easy to customise skin if you like. I still logged into Google in first set up and all my apps, contacts and calendars sync'd seamlessly

Looking forward to getting my One+ this week. I have a Note 3 and its a great device but i am getting bored with it and want a new one and the One+ caught my eye

Devices always become obsolete within months these days.. From my personal experience (moving from n5 to opo)... I straight away noticed an excellent battery life.. That came at a cost.. Which is screen size.. I was a little uncomfortable using it initially.. But now i am used to it n feel okay with it. The build quality is great and for the price.. No other device comes close... I am a huge nexus fan (used almost every one of them and n6 totally ruined it for me :(.... Also my n5 battery life was abyssmal.. It would drop lte signal like crazy.. Luckily my opo has held up so far after three months of use!

The only thing I miss from my nexus life is wireless changing :(

I think this phone can still end up as great backup device if you can shell out the money!

Hope this helps :)

I have had mine on ATT now for a about a month and it is doing great. Picked up the one plus just to try it out and see what was newbie the Android world. It is a great phone. Doubt you would be disappointed with it.

I think OPO is one of the best Android phones you can get now. But if camera is your top most priority, I suggest looking elsewhere. No IS, and the angle is not as wide so if you want to picture in a small room you have to move back but still can't fit everything.

The speakers is average. Other features, like screen, Cyanogen OS, storage are excellent.

So I've held out for the HTC One M9 to be released, and now it's out it's becoming a huge disappointment.

For me personally it appears there will be no improvement in battery life, the look of the phone looks dated now.

And the Samsung S6 edge looks amazing but will be dated and most likely still bloated.

How is the OPO looking as a purchase today?

Have you tried the ColorOS camera that's been ported to the OPO? It's really a step up from the stock CM camera.

LG G3 is not a better phone. It costs much more. And for the more expensive price tag, you get less specs. The fact you did not research the OPO before buying, then finding out it did not have 4G in your region does not make the OPO a lesser device

I had the M7,M8 then tried the G3 and I hated that as much as I hated my last iPhone 5. The OPO is just a no nonsense and brilliant phone.

The phone is very cool. And if everything goes smooth then buying a OnePlus one is probably a good decision. However, if you have any problem the technical service is the worst I have seen. They just ask you for pictures, videos, the provide you live in, in different emails just to break your patience. So think twice about it.
