Should I buy the Samsung Galaxy S3 in 2014?

I seen the Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 on sale for 299 at Radioshack. And I wanted to know should I still buy the phone in 2014 considering its 2 years old.

You can get a Moto G for less than that.
Or go with a Nexus 5.
Both better options than the S3 for that kind of money.

That'll likely be the last update. It will take a while to get that, too.
I'd get a Moto X or Nexus 5 for around $30-50 more. Both are going to get updates longer than the S3, and they're just better phones in general

I just hope it gets it at some point. I have s3 and would like to keep it for awhile yet...getting the new OS, I'll hang onto mine longer. It's been a great phone.
