Android Central Question

I am wedded to my Samsung phones, and won't buy a newer one than my S5 until they have one with a removable battery and expandable storage. My biggest problem with my current phone (side from Samsung not allowing unified storage) is battery life. I'm changing out my battery sometimes three times a day.

I've seen unlocked S5s on Amazon for decent prices. My question is, should I expect a newer S5 to have better battery life than my years-old S5?

I too love Samsung and especially the size of my S5 Mini.
I too am appalled at the ever shortening battery life. It won't keep a charge for even an hour, despite new batteries.

Someone on another forum suggested a factory reset. However, everyone warns not to do this without backing up first.

So, trying to backup using SmartSwitch and it is taking literally forever (hours) to even get started.

This feels like trying to run a marathon through molasses...

So I'm watching for your answers while seeking alternative forums.
