I'd just see how it goes first. Mine has been flawless, faster and better battery. I just did the ota and rebooted once.

I would -- if you don't mind. Usually doing a reset after a big update can prevent many headaches :).

Factory resetting is not as bad as people make it out to be. I flash ROM's all the time, and this requires me to factory reset every good i do so. Now days though, it's so easy to back up your apps/picture/contacts etc. that about an hour after you reset, your phone will be pretty much just how it was. Only thing you'll have to do is re organize your home screens. But you can back up all your apps, so whenever you go through the initial set up, it will install all of the apps for you at boot, you can back up all your pictures with Google + photos (using the Photos app), and sync all your contacts with your Gmail so they will be there immediately after you sign into your account.

This can all be done without an SD card btw

how do u do a hard reset on this ?

If by hard reset, you mean factory reset, then you go into settings and go to backup and reset, and click factory reset. Make sure everything is backed up before you do this though, if you want to get everything back with ease

My biggest question is how do you back up the app data? Such as progress in games, etc? That was my biggest issue when factory resetting previous devices

If you use Google play games, almost every game is synced through there. So take clash of clans for example, if you have heard of that game. If you connect it with your Google account, whenever you load up the game you can click sign in with Google, and it will bring up Google games and bring you straight back to where you were when you left off (of that makes sense at all, i know I'm not the best at explaining things lol)

Here is a link that may explain it better for you.

I didn't do it and my phone is working fine. I would assume that it depends on you and what sort of apps you have and what you use your phone for. Some things might require the reset but others no. I would try without for a few days and if things are bad you can then do a reset.
