Should I flash or not the O update

I have a 5x and beta tested O. (Sooo much better than N). Age old question. Is it a best practice to flash with each major build? If so, why?

It is in one sense - if there's a security change (a virus vulnerability in the old one that gets patched in the new one) the phone is safer if you update.
