Should I install Custom ROM in my Huawei P10?

Since they are about to release the oreo update for the P10, I doubt they will release for the soo called "Pineapple" and I' concerned with it, since I like staying with the updates soo going for a custom ROM is the way to go but, I'm worried if I install a custom rom probably some functions native from the phone wont work like the dual camera system the portrait mode, etc. Basically I want to know how it will affect the camera system or it will stay the same.
I'm planning in installing the lineage OS or some other stock android alike.
