Should I iphone x to note 8

I've had the iphone X. The Note 8 is a better device in many ways. If I'm picking an iOS device it would be the 8 Plus. We have a couple 8 Pluses in the house. Nobody was interested in the iPhone X after trying it.

It really comes down to ecosystem. If you are not tied to the Apple ecosystem, then absolutely get the Note 8.

That's so weird u say that. The iPhone X is sooo much better than the 8 plus.

Not everyone thinks that is true. That doesn’t mean the X isn’t better for you. I’m sure it is. However, in many peoples opinion, the 8 Plus is the better buy. Choice is good. Apple only gives you a few choices as it is. Fortunately, they didn’t force this new design down everyone’s throat. At least not yet....

That's personal preference. I had the note 8. Switched to the iPhone X. Didn't like that. Switched to the 8 plus. Then back to the iPhone X. Just don't like it. Now I'm back ok the note 8. For me the Note works so much better with many more options to truly make this phone mine.

My wife and daughter went to get the iPhone X as well and ended up getting the 8 plus. They did not like the X. To each their own. But for my money the Note 8 wins all day long compared to the X. And face id does not always work. It's stubborn. I like to unwind at home in bed while laying on my side. Face I'd never works in this instance. I'm sure it will get better as it matures just like the fingerprint sensors did but right now it doesn't work for me as I would like.

I actually just switched from the iPhone X to the Note 8 last week. I strongly disliked the Face ID technology and found it to not work consistently enough for my liking. As someone else mentioned, it did not work at all when I would lay in bed and try to unlock it and I also had issues unlocking it while I was driving to change music on Spotify and such. I felt a little misled by the screen size as well coming from the 7+ (although that's my fault for blindly ordering it and not looking at the specs closer).

So far, I'm really enjoying my Note 8. Screen size is expansive and exactly what I want in a phone. Having had a Note 3 way back in the day, I found myself really missing the S-Pen and I use it all the time now that I have it back. I do really miss iMessage, especially as I work in a building with no cell signal and MMS messages don't seem to work over Wifi like SMS. It was nice to have seamless integration with iMessage and SMS/MMS in one app. Other than that, I really don't find myself missing much at all. This is coming from someone who has a Macbook, two Apple TVs, an iPad mini, and an Apple Watch (which was replaced with a Gear S3 Classic).

How are you liking your Gear S3? I'm the same - just jumped ship from iPhone X but went with an Android Wear watch because of superior app selection.

Have also downloaded Pulse for SMS - it's the nearest to iMessage you'll get and allows you to send texts seamlessly through your computer as well as on the phone and watch.

Yeah I get that. To each their own.

Had a plan: would hand my S8 down to my wife in place of her IPhone and I would have money to buy Note 8.

Figured it was cheaper to buy the Note than pay for the divorce.
