Hello all.
A quick question from someone new to samsung.

Do you guys keep those samsung apps updated, even if you don't use them?
For example, Samsung Members..., or Samsung Internet..., I don't use them nor do I plan to use them but I have my doubts if I should keep them updated.
Reason I ask is because I know some apps can sometimes run on the background, even if you don't use them, and if so, would be better for the cel phone to keep them updated?
Or I shouldn't worry about updating them at all since I don't use them, and it would only take more space and make no other difference for the phone?

You should update them or at the very least disable them if you know you're not going to use them when/where possible.

Hey there, thanks for the reply.

Those are built in apps, can't disable them, unless I use that disabler pro app, wich I don't intend to do.

So my only doubt is if it is better for the phone to keep them updated, or if it shouldn't matter at all.

 Listen do enough research before take a decision. I own a SGs7 and
had the same doubts-Like yourself..1day I open the Accounts list
and Saw on top the Samsung acct. Decided to Signed up

The next day I was notified of 9-Samsung apps to Update. I Skip them
'N they reappear again & again. I like Samsung Phones..but Dislike its
apps. So I Logged In to lookup for a Delete option-Found None

The fact that didn't offer a way to Delete the acct. Led Me to Perform
a Factory reset to remove it. Also I've downloaded the Samsung Kies app

But is useless. When a New-OS Update is ready my Phone carrier
Downloaded automatically, so No plans to Sign up again-Huha!

You can disable some system apps in the Application Manager within settings. This also deletes any updates and reverts the app back to factory default.

Yup, I know.

Some Samsung Apps can't be disabled though, like Samsung Members, and Samsung Internet, and a couple others.

So my only doubt is if it is good to keep them updated, because sometimes some of them can run on the background, even if you don't use them.
