Should I purchase Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 from US or India

Friends,
I have some confusions related to multi-media tablets.
1. Which is better: 8+ inch or 10+ inch tablet? My primary requirement is for document reading, multimedia consumption and Internet Browsing.
2. I have never used a tablet before, but I prefer Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 for the time being. One of my friends is coming to India from US on 2nd August 2014. But seeing the price difference (which is very high) in US and India , I am in dilemma where to purchase it from US or shall I wait for 1 or 2 more months till the price drop in India? Of course in India this model is coming with 3G where as in US it is Wi-Fi only. I am happy with Wi-Fi version too.

Please suggest me in this regard. Is it OK to purchase Wi-Fi only version from US?

I have a wifi only Nexus 7 and a Note 12.2.

If my primary requirements were reading and media, I would go with the bigger screen.
