Should I root

I'm on the Verizon edge plan so idk if I turn in my phone and its rooted if they will know should I root or no ? I'm kind of nervous bc it'll be my first time what are the major benefits any comments will be appreciated

They won't care if you're rooted until you try to have a replacement or issues. Even then they probably wouldn't care. Rooting provides a bunch of options, Tethering, roms, etc. Depends on what you want to do with the phone.

Oh if you have 4.4 kitkat, you can't root.
